HAWKING ROUTER

SETUP OF A STATIC IP AND A DMZ

The way static ip works is you put the ip you want to assign to the computer into the router with the mac address of the computer.  The computer stays on dynamic IP assigning and goes to the router.  The router then looks into the static ip table for the mac address of the pc and assigns the static ip address for that computer.

1.       Go to DHCP setup.

2.       In the Static IP Range section add the IP to assign to the computer with the MAC address

3.       MAC address in XP appears in the Settings/Network/Local Area Network/Support/Details

4.       Setup the PC to get the static IP to Obtain IP address.

5.       Go to the DMZ setup

6.       Enter the static ip address into the DMZ ip
